I shall type a little crap here. Haha. Ok Class dinner was conceptualised by yours truely (conceptualise sia, as if need creativity liddat) and ya basically it was supposed to be a gathering for us all in the name of the every-bubbly laykiat who has recovered le.

But she didn't come. Woops. Busy bee that she was, and seeing how rushed and last-minute i organised it cuz i kept it at the back of my head and kept postponing it till.. ok forgot. hehz

anyway, it was thai food, and photos.. i shall leave it to fellow quite-onz blogger serena liau to post her photos along with captions. Unless she says she lazy la. then i post lo. But captioning will confirm be anyhow, kuli-kuching 1 cuz i didn't take the photos. Like, for the food, i'll prob. caption them as "oh, red ruby desert, quite nice lo. but pass around, saliva spread to everyone. makes it yummier. haha"

so ah, better not ask me to caption. but ok la, i add class photo la. Courtesy of serena's camera.

anyway, that aside, i had a good laugh at zhiyuan's post. Indeed, dun remember liao. Dun even remember my own posts actually. Its that long. 1.5 yrs liao. Haha. And if zhiyuan's still sitting in his underwear typing at the com on sundays, it'll be damn weird seeing how busy hallites can get.

Ahh well, i miss hall. a little. but the pros of moving out outweigh the cons i suppose. though it means i have more boring weekends than before. I'm still glad i moved out. Just.. a pity i can't run in the inter-hall relays only lo.

mechanical engineering.. 8 guys to 1 girl ratio according to leeyihui. Duno lei, i nv really count. But more importantly the no. of friends i have there, oso quite low. Shit. But slowly increasing la. Thankfully. Got a few more recognisable faces liao thanks to discussions between friends about ME ppl. Haha. Dun think small Law or Computing cohort then will know each other, even big big ME oso got recognisable ppl liao. Slowly but steadily.

1 person has even seen me training at the nus track b4. abit O_O

yay anyway, cheers to all, and yeah as wat jiaqi said, keep this going. Though i'm feelin' abit lazy haha. Just try lo. And more funny posts like zhiyuan's lei. Haha

Not a bad thing to look back at old photos and think of old times, especially on a cold winter's day when it's snowing outside (don't snow leh...wait they cancel the buses haha) and when there isn't too much homework to do yet. Haha.

Anyhow, I was in Europe for 2 weeks!--crashing at Edwin's place for a week, which was great fun and not really traveling anyway because we spent so much time playing mahjong and KTV-ing anyway. Photos are here!

Let's get this blog going again and keep it alive! So, for a start--what did you guys do over the December break?

i like engine canteen not because the food sux. but because the queues are relatively shorter than artsy or scientific or biz-y. And also, it's super airy. I almost had an asthma attack at arts canteen. And where were the renowed chio.bus of arts??? All i saw was makeup. -wink-

Perhaps most of you will be expecting a long tirade from me about the whole issue of NKF, but there isn't one.

The past week for me has been just spending hours trying to navigate myself through the scores of articles dedicated to this common Singapore controversy. I've definitely felt the anger rising in me as I read about how public money has been spent so callously, even though I'm not a donor of NKF. But I am rather proud at how, for the first time in Singapore history, people power have prevailed. The tremendous uproar, the intensity of emotions and the drastic actions of cancelling their donations have ultimately caused Durai and his team of executives to step down. It is definitely a victory worth celebrating, to see justice served.

I've read my friend's blog on this matter and he gives a very impressive analysis on the whole issue. The post is a bit long but it's worth it. He addresses many points which the NKF supporters throw up, and approaches them in a very logical, sensible manner. And well, he's not on the dean's list of law school for nothing. Do read if you're interested in this whole saga.

Ok i know i posted this on the emails, but since i'm Really bored, i've decided to post this on the blog too, just to liven things up abit more arnd here. Hehz.

Anyway, as i told yihui during lunch tt day, i was going to m'sia to visit a medium. M'sia relative suggested we have the medium summon my granny's spirit and talk to her. Its called Qian Hun, or holding the hand of the spirit. Very X-files. Anyway, it was done on sunday morning, basically the Xian Gu sits on what looked like a budget dragon seat (cuz it had 4 mini-dragon heads sticking out from it) and after yawning multiple times(n i thot at 1st tt she just woke up, looked darn un-pro. haha) asks her assistant some questions. Regretfully my understanding of dialect languages sucks n i duno wat the heck they were saying.

But anyway, qns asked, then she does some ultra-man hand signs, then covers her face with a handkerchief. She grabs a handful of rice in front of her and flings it onto the floor. Then she turns around n starts talking to my relatives who were seated beside her. (I was somewhere further behind cuz there were 15 of us in the small room.) Voice remains tt of the xian gu, eyes shut throughout. Grandma was unable to identify us, as what the assistant briefed us earlier on. But after the whole thing, mum was saying tt there were some things tt sounded pretty true la. Shan't go into details as dirty linen shld not be washed on the net. But other stuff seemed fake. Like when my relatives asked granddad to 'appear' (he passed away 20 yrs ago), he was rather angry tt we haven't summoned him for 20 yrs. Tt praying wasn't enuff, must be summoned. Sounds like the Xian Gu needs the money from the summoning rite? Duno la. Anyway, quite cool. Mum was kinda worried at 1st, but was happy in the end.

Yea tts about it lo. When coming back into singapore, the checks at the singapore causeway checkpt were damn long la, prob. cuz of the london bombing. Sheesh. Take a bunch of bombings by some #@$%$#^@@ to screw up the lives of everyone around the world. Darn the terrorists.

And lastly. Think we're donating Too much to the N*F. Sheesh.

Leg cramps, red skin, breaking out, overall fatigue.

Just came back from a diving trip over the weekend. And yep it was great!

I've always wanted to go ever since I heard people telling me how exciting it was. But I guess my parents were constantly worried that I might get into some danger. Then my lucky break came when my cousin was interested as well, so I decided to go with him. That eased my parents' anxiety.

From monday to thursday night, I had theory and pool sessions. The pool sessions really helped, because diving is not as easy as people on discovery channel make it looks. Ok, but truth be told, out of the nine students, I was probably the lousiest coz I took a long time to get the hang of the skills they taught us, like how to clear the mask when water gets into it, how to equalise (ie how to ease the pressure felt in the ears as you descend), and all the other skills lah. The problem with me was while breathing through my mouth underwater, I can't seem to breathe out through my nose without breathing through my mouth. It took a while for me to condition my body to separate breathing through my nose and mouth. Diving really makes you become very conscious of your breathing, something you take for granted when on land.

On friday night, we left for mersing and stayed the night there. The next morning, we took about a 2-hour boat ride from mersing to tioman. Upon reaching there, we immediately checked in, got changed, and headed back to the jetty. The boat then took us to some shallow waters and we headed down the sea. The first dive was only 6m deep. Basically, when we reached the bottom, we just did the normal skills we learnt during the pool. Then our instructor brought us around for a mini-tour, though all we saw was sand. There were only very few and small fishes.

The next dive was deeper, 12m. That dive was pretty magical. Corals and reefs abound with many fishes swimming all around us. Blue fishes, yellow fishes, sea anemones and clown fishes, schools of fishes, fishes that were daring enough to swim up to you... The rule of thumb is, if you keep very still, the fish would naturally swim up to you to check out the "new fish". But any sudden movement would cause them to quickly scoot away. They were mostly small fish, though a few times we were lucky to see slightly bigger ones. The instructor was very good, and he showed us the interesting stuff. He used a metal rod to tease the corals and sea creatures. There was one dive where he used it to "hypnotise" a baby eel. As he lifted his rod, the eel followed it cautiously, peering its head slowly from under a small rock it was hiding. Then when he lowered the rod, the eel retreated. It was almost like snake-charming! And the eel's movements were so cute, coz it looked so enraptured by the rod, moving up and down with it. Its surprised look on its face made it all the more funny!

All in all, we made a total of five dives within 2 days, the deepest being 18m. With each dive, we became better at adjusting our bouyancy by controlling the rate of our breathing. The instructor brought us through some caves to test our skills, but haha, most of us still bumped into the walls of the cave, leaving us (or me especially) with cuts all over. But it didn't make the dive any less enjoyable.

Now, I'm nursing the after-effects of diving. I have bad sunburns on my hand (and I mean super bad, like bright-red type), my body is extremely tired, the saltwater is causing me to break out (ahhh!), and I still feel like I'm on the boat. I sometimes think I sway unconsciously, or my head is bobbing from side to side. Haha, but it's an experience I wouldn't miss for the world.

Wow, it's been quite a while, and all of a sudden out of the blue, so many people have posted! That's quite a record so far already :p. I'm sure most of you guys have Blogger accounts, so just post! It's pretty quiet here, isn't it?

So what's everyone doing now?--especially the guys; all still at your jobs? Or slacking already? Time really flies; it seems like it was only yesterday that it was Cherie's birthday party, and even that is already some 2 months back already.

Well Serena, maybe the whole point is to not brood so much over the years that are going by--to not count the days, but make the days count!--Much as that came from a poster I saw in my camp way back in, like what, April 2003--this super ancient poster from the then-NPB (National Productivity Board; it's now SPRING Singapore) during one of the national productivity campaigns. Haha.

I don't know--sometimes I feel that way too, that I'm wasting my life away as the days go by--and I felt that way a lot before I ORDed, wondering what the hell I'm wasting my time for. And then after ORDing, as the slacking continued, I couldn't help but worry about what I'm doing with my life. Haha.

So life isn't always as good as it seems it will be, and it's always greener on the other side.

Oh well, it's just nice to see people posting--I guess we don't talk much as a class, do we?--It's always more of doing things together, like going to Sentosa to play a few outings ago, or watching movies, playing LAN or pool, but seldom sitting down and talking--anybody else feels that way?--Or maybe it's just me, I don't know.

2 months and 5 days left here for me, and I still don't feel anything yet. Perhaps when it comes, it'll hit me real hard.

Oh well.

Yo people.. Its 4pm in the afternoon and i just woke up only to find myself alone in the house sia.

Damn sad.

Think I starting to turn no life liao. My sis went malaysia with her church mates and my parents went Chinatown to gai gai. My gosh. Sundays are meant to be spent like tt wad. Not sitting in front of a computer wearing only a pair of boxers and hugging a smelly bolster lo.

Surfed the net for half an hour, trying to catch up with all my online groups and communities and was pleasantly surprised to see Alvin's and Serena's fresh entry into the blog so i decided to put one of my own too.

Anyway, bet most of u dunno vibrators are damn expensive in Singapore. I visited the erotic shop at holland v last week and to my horror the cheapest one available is freaking 80 bucks lo! And Im sure no gal in the right mind would wanna buy tt cheapest one... its those kind which is made of cheapo plastic and dussen vibrate (yes a vibrator which dussen vibrate) which i seriously think a regular cucumber would serve a better job at satisfying herself. Use oredi, wash clean liao still can eat with the chicken rice u da pao from downstairs.

The most expensive one seems impressive but is nearly 300 bucks. Got 3 modes of vibration : high, low , and pulsating vibrations. Looks demonic too, macham an exact replica of satan's rod. Black in colour with scales and a small pointed thing on top which i think is used to stimulate the gals g-spot (haha i must emphasize i THINK only, nv seen one b4 k) Super thick and long somemore, god knows how the girl can manage to shove tt thing in la. Even comes with a cleaning dock for after use, sterilizing solution included as well.

Therefore, why do gals still nid to buy vibrators if they are so impractical? Any guys' finger can easily do a better job ma! Dun even nid to manually operate, just get ur honey pot to a close enuff proximity of a guy's hands and u can lie back and enjoy liao lo. Until the technology is advanced enough for vibrators to have a camera embedded at the tip, only fingers have the ability to topo and navigate to the most enjoyable part lo. Seriously other than lao yu's wife, no single woman nids a vibrator in their life.

Therefore, assuming a guy's fingers have got more than three modes of vibration - agressive, gentle, in-out-in-out to name a few, and are more versatile, one finger definitely worth more than 300 bucks, say $400, guess wad? 10 fingers = $4000! Damn, i should reflect this to insurance agencies sia, maybe in future they will insure more for permanent disablility of limbs for guys compared to gals haha.

Oops haha think i got too carried away. Actually just wanted to jio a class gathering say maybe end of June? Think it will be nice to get together again b4 everyone starts flying away to all over the world for studies. Though i think ive seen many ppl recently. Met Peter and Gilbert during scholarship interview. Our schedule one after each other lo. Damn qiao. Saw Zhiguan yesterday at citylink. As I was sneaking up on him, his gf gave him a peck on the face. Haha. Bet she still feeling paiseh. Saw minhao during sec class gathering as well. He now enjoying life la, working in a female environment with lotsa chio bus. Saw eelin as well, think she on her way to work or wad. Still as pretty as ever though a bit fat now haha.

So how guys? On for class gathering? Open for ideas hor. Meanwhile, go check out www.uglyjackass.com to keep urself entertained!
